I came to painting later in life, mostly as a result of confronting difficulties in life and working through challenges and around obstacles. I spent time looking for light, for answers, for direction, for peace and for love. I pursued light in order to find happiness, satisfaction, truth, and fulfillment. This goal took on a life of its own, finally resolving itself on canvas.

After I started to paint, I found that I was looking at life differently.  One definition of light is "something that makes things visible or affords illumination.”  Light shown through a prism reveals and divides itself into an array of color.  Looking at one particular color is like looking at one aspect of light.  All colors depend on light, and yet color and light share a symbiotic union in that color reveals some secrets of light and vice versa.

Let us all find light in our own ways.

I hope you enjoy my explorations of color.
